Ministry of Manpower Issues Regulation on Religious Allowance for Workers in 2023 and Establishes Command Post for Monitoring its Implementation

The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has issued a regulation regarding the disbursement of the 2023 religious holiday allowance (THR). The policy is stated in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Manpower M/HK.0400/III/2023 concerning the Implementation of Religious Holiday Allowance (THR) for Workers in Companies in 2023.

All employers must pay the THR to their workers no later than 7 days before Eid al-Fitr 1444 H. In addition, the payment process must be made in full and cannot be paid in installments.

To ensure the implementation of the THR payment, Kemnaker has established a Command Post for the 2023 Religious THR Task Force on March 28, 2023. The THR Command Post has provided 1,988 services, consisting of 1,050 consultation services and 938 complaint services.

"The THR Command Post aims to serve as a consultation and law enforcement center for the implementation of the 2023 religious THR payment, which integrates THR Command Posts at the provincial and district/city levels through the website https://poskothr.kemnaker.go.id," said the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Manpower, Anwar Sanusi in a written statement on Sunday (16/4/2023).

Anwar Sanusi explained that the 1,050 consultation services were a recapitulation of the THR Command Post consultation services from March 28, 2023, to April 14, 2023, in 34 provinces.

"Today is the last day for companies to pay the religious THR. Therefore, we urge and remind our fellow employers of their commitment to pay the THR this year," he said.

Meanwhile, the 938 complaint services were a recapitulation of the THR Command Post complaint services from March 28, 2023, to April 15, 2023, covering 669 companies. Of the 938 complaints, 23 have been followed up.

In detail, the 938 complaints consisted of 468 complaints of unpaid THR, 337 complaints of THR payments that did not comply with the regulations, and 93 complaints of late THR payments.
