President Jokowi, Megawati Soekarnoputri, and Ganjar Pranowo to Deliver Speeches at Bung Karno Month Celebration in Jakarta's GBK Stadium

President Jokowi, PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri, and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo are set to deliver speeches at the Bulan Bung Karno event in the main stadium of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) on June 24th. The event is expected to be attended by 100,000 people, ranging from PDIP cadres from the grassroots level to the central leadership.

Aside from political speeches from Megawati Soekarnoputri, Jokowi, and PDIP's presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, the event will also showcase the spirit of Pancasila as the foundation of the state's goals and the relevance of Bung Karno's thoughts on Indonesian leadership in global political affairs. The event will feature various aspects of Indonesian culture.

GBK holds historical significance as a monumental place that ignites the spirit of Gelora Bung Karno. Hasto Kristiyanto, the Secretary-General of PDIP, expressed gratitude for the location of the event and highlighted the significance of the venue.

Apart from PDIP cadres, the party will also invite other individuals and parties from outside the organization to the peak of the Bulan Bung Karno event at GBK. Hasto stated that national figures and coalition parties, including PPP and Hanura, have been invited.

Hasto also hinted at the possibility of other parties joining forces to support Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election, but he did not disclose their identities. He emphasized the importance of collective cooperation and the spirit of togetherness.

In terms of legislative candidate registration, Hasto stated that PDIP will register the names of national and regional candidates simultaneously on June 11th.
