Ganjar Pranowo Encourages Indonesian Women to Reach for the Stars

During his visit to Pondok Pesantren Darunnahdlatain NWDI on Sunday, June 18, 2023, Ganjar Pranowo, the presidential candidate from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), conveyed a message to Indonesian women, particularly female students in Islamic boarding schools. Ganjar Pranowo urged them to strive for their highest aspirations.

"I reminded them that Indonesian women should aim high and avoid early marriage," Ganjar stated on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

According to him, all women are extraordinary.

"Yes, our hope is that there is a spirit that has existed since 1943, which is education for women provided by Islamic boarding schools, truly empowering women. All women, they are remarkable," he continued.

Ganjar emphasized that every parent who sends their child to an Islamic boarding school undoubtedly has high hopes for their future success. He advised young women not to be enticed by the idea of getting married at a young age.

"It's great when parents give a message like, 'Why are you going there? You'll just end up getting married.' This way, they already have a boundary in place to exercise self-control and avoid early marriage," Ganjar explained.

Ganjar Pranowo's visit to the Islamic boarding school highlights the significance of education and empowerment for women in Indonesia.
